I'm a bit late starting to document my loc journey.
I'm almost 9 months in, none the less we gon' speak on it.
I started my locs on the 8th of November 2018,
the day before my sisters 51st birthday(shout out to Sharon) and I have no regrets.
I absolutely love my hair fuzzy and all.
Why I decided to loc my hair
In the year 2014,
I shaved my head for the second time in hopes of wearing a more natural hairstyle instead of continuing to use relaxer/perm which is not healthy for the hair or body.
I tried to go natural but could not maintain because I did not have the necessary information on how to properly care for my hair in its natural state.
Fast forward to the year 2018
I was enjoying my loose natural hair.
Doing the most with the hair products, buying overpriced items that didn't do much for my hair in my opinion.
My hair was always dry and fuzzy, and the maintenance was a lot.
Finally, I made the decision to loc my hair.
Three of my sisters wore locs and I always admired their hair but I never wanted it for myself.
Until a few months ago.
In conclusion
I have locs, I love my locs and I'm very excited to experience the changes that are in store for me on this journey.
